Awarded accordionist, composer and musical producer. Bruno Moritz`s artistic career confuses itself with his own life history. Moritz started his music studies during his childhood in his homeland Brusque (SC). Later on, studied piano at the former Universidade Livre de Música in São Paulo, attended Composition and Regency at Federal University of São Paulo (USP) and undergraduate in Music at Univali - Universidade do Vale do Itajaí. Along his career, Bruno shared the stage with several admirable artists, such as Sivuca, Dominguinhos, Oswaldinho do Acordeon, Richard Galliano, Renato Borghetti e Alegre Corrêa, just to name a few. Also, Bruno is conductor and founder of Accordion Orchestra of Brusque. Experienced musician, impeccable arranger, inspired composer, Bruno Moritz is considered one of the most important names of Brazilian music today. The acknowledgment of his work is realized through the many awards he has received during these last years. In 2016, Bruno was granted the Prêmio da Música Catarinense (Santa Catarina State Music Award), Best Instrumental Album category with the CD/DVD Titoco Live. In 2014, Bruno was granted the Prêmio da Música Catarinense (Santa Catarina State Music Award), Best Album category with the CD Tempero Brasileiro (Brazilian Flavor). With this same album, in 2015, was selected one of top 15 Players of the 2014 Top 100 of Brazilian Music, developed by music critic Ed Félix and published at Embrulhador website. From 2007 to 2012, collected awards as an accordionist, among those, the first prize in the First International Accordionists Contest, promoted by Brazil`s Accordion Association (Jaú, SP); First prize at Roland Accordion Festival (São Paulo), first prize at Nabor Pires Camargo Award (Indaiatuba, SP) and a disputed fourth prize at the 62 Accordionists World Cup (Auckland, New Zealand) and at the 65th Accordionists World Cup (Spoleto, Italy).
